Property protectionA bollard does one job: put something solid between a vehicle and the thing you cannot afford to have hit. Store front glazing, a dock door, a gas meter, an electrical panel, a pedestrian walkway. We supply fixed, removable, surface-mounted, stainless and decorative bollards for commercial properties across the GTA and Ontario.
High visibilityThe high-visibility workhorse. Steel pipe finished in safety yellow with reflective banding, used wherever a bollard needs to be seen before it is hit. This is the highest-volume bollard on most warehouse and industrial sites, and the one that gets replaced most often.
Finish & appearanceWhere the bollard is visible to customers and the finish is part of the design. Satin stainless in flat top and domed round profiles, corrosion resistant and low maintenance: appropriate for store fronts, plazas, building entrances and any frontage where a painted steel post would look like an afterthought.
Impact recoveryA bollard that bends and stands back up. Where contact is expected rather than exceptional: drive-thru lanes, tight turns, wash bays. A spring-loaded bollard absorbs the hit and returns to position, instead of bending permanently and needing replacement every season.
Corrosion resistanceHot-dip galvanized steel, for outdoor positions where road salt and standing water do the damage rather than impact. The coating goes on after fabrication and covers cut edges and welds, which is why a galvanized post outlasts a painted one on an exposed site.
Access controlA bollard that drops into the ground instead of being carried away. Lift it and lock it to close the opening; release the key lock and it retracts flush, leaving nothing to trip over and nothing to store. Used where access changes through the day rather than through the year.
Access controlA bollard that rises and lowers on its own, operated from a control point rather than by hand. Used where an opening is closed by default, opened many times a day, and nobody is available to lift a post in and out.
Occasional accessFor access that has to be closed most of the time and open occasionally. The bollard drops into a ground sleeve and lifts out once the padlock is released, leaving a flush cap in the surface: fire routes, service lanes, patio seasons and curbside pickup zones.
Bicycle parkingIn Toronto, bicycle parking is a code requirement rather than an amenity. Chapter 230 of Zoning By-law 569-2013 sets bicycle parking rates, short-term spaces must be visible and publicly accessible at grade, and the Toronto Green Standard applies to new mid-to-high-rise residential and all ICI development. If you are filing a Site Plan Approval application, there is a bike rack line item in your project.
Visibility & appearanceA faded, rusted, chipped bollard fails two jobs at once: it stops being visible, and it makes the whole site look neglected. Covers restore both in minutes, without a crew, a repaint or a shutdown. This is usually the easiest and least disruptive improvement available on a commercial site.
Access managementBollards protect a point. Barriers organise a whole area, where vehicles go, where people walk, and where the two are not allowed to meet. Used to define parking, protect equipment and staging areas, and separate pedestrian routes from operating traffic.
Signage & protectionA sign on a post tells a driver the rule. A bollard stops the driver reaching what is behind it. A sign bollard does both from one footing, which is why it turns up wherever a site needs to mark a space and protect it at the same time.
Parking areasThe low-cost hardware that stops a parking area wearing itself out: wheel stops that limit overhang, guards on the columns and corners that get clipped, and protection at the building face where cars nose in every day.
Public realmHardware for spaces the public walks through rather than works in: sidewalks, plazas, transit approaches, parks and campus frontages. The requirement is the same as on a private site: separate people from vehicles, but the finish, the approvals and the design standard all matter more.
